Mundane Monday

Today is Moday and it is raining. As I look out my window past my cubicle the skyline of downtown Nashville has a layer of fog covering it. The fogginess of the outdoors has seemed to put all of us interns in a fog today. At lunch earlier, we all sat in the lunch room with our left overs and sack lunches trying to muster up enough energy to have a sufficent conversation. We talked about our weekends and what exciting things each of us are doing in our indevisual departments.

I am currently working on a somewhat mundane project that I will be glad to be finsished with in a few weeks. This morning however, the intern we have endearingly nicknamed "Murph" and I sat in on the Top 20 Countdown. I just love going down there because secretly that is what I untimatley want to do...I want Lance Smith's job. Well, not HIS job but a job like his. I wouldnt want to take his job, he is actually a very nice guy I discovered. But of course he is nice...we are in Nashville for heaven's sakes.

Interning at CMT has its "less stimulating" days just like any other place of work. But even on the mundane days, I am still so thrilled to be here because almost all of my interests are represented here. Television, music, planning events and being creative. I feel very blessed to be around it all and I plan or soaking up all of the knowledge I can from the people here.
